My Story!

Corrective Double Jaw Surgery

An Experience From Inside The Wire

my smile before surgery
(yah.. thats me)

picture of me speaking for my fans

What is Corrective Jaw Surgery?

I’ve needed this surgery ever since i can remember, ever since i was a small child i can remember smiling and seeing the god forsaken space and gap between my lower and upper jaw creating a huge separation between my teeth.
the correct name to classify this is called a “Class 3 LaFort” underbite.
SO! corrective jaw surgery is to rearrange both my jaws to place them in their correct positions! simple right? easy breezy! IN AND OUT! pft! that's what i thought.

Im writing this cover letter after surgery for one simple reason… because i had this idea after surgery :)
in all seriousness, I’ve been waiting for this surgery for over 20+ years. the thought that it has finally come and its done its incredibly overwhelming and is almost like a fresh start at a new life.
you will see several sides of me i this blog, soft and weak, the complainer, happy and dandy, etc etc…. do not judge as god will judge you back lol.

So without further adieu lets begin this journey of liquid diets, bad breath, pain meds and smelly urine… (yeah you heard that right) and how JayZ and Kylie Jenner don’t have Shit on me in the lip department anymore!

Special thanks
Id like to take a second to thank a few people.
yes yes yes everyone on Facebook, and however else wished me luck and positive thoughts you guys too! but not to
cut you short but i am talking about a few people in particular.
these individuals are the reasons why I’m in the state of health i am today, why my spirits are so high and the reason this journey has been as tolerable as it has been.
without each one of you, this would have been absolutely impossible to bare alone, and i think you so much for everything you've done for me over the last few months!

clean shave the night before surgery

The day has finally arrived!

tomorrow morning I will be undergoing the surgery I've been waiting to have for over 20 years of my life!

Ive had these god forsaken braces on now for over a year! unfortunately though these bad boys stay on for another year following surgery :(

SO! Nathan (or Kamble depending on how you know me) How are you feeling? What's your state of mind like?
this is my bite before surgery, needs a lot of work

Im nervous... and it only really started kicking in tonight.

my nerves are shot because this will be a "First time" surgery where I am put under general anesthesia. I'm stuck in a position where I have to decide whether to eat AS MUCH food as i can possibly handle without of course killing myself or sleep as much as humanly possible on the count of knowing i won't be catching many ZZZ for the next little while lol.

all this food before surgery in the morning i will eat it all
I chose food of course..
1X full carton of Milk  (Mandatory)
4X Chicken Pot Pies
6X Strawberry toaster Struddles
4X Delicious Pastries
1X Pineapple

As i get everything ready last minute as always i slowly realize how tough of a journey this is going to be.. Last night i pre recorded 10 videos for my YouTube channel so that when I'm coming out of hospital i would still have some content for my subscribers.
(see link for my channel :) extra promotion!)
https://www.youtube.com/KambleFrost
my youtube channel full of gaming videos and funny videos

I strategically place items around the house for easy access such as a whiteboard with custom messages for visitors
(ex. Go Away)
(ex. Im Sorry Im An A**Hole) lol
Tons of Ensure bottles, applesauce, juice, and other soft food for myself to devour when i get home!
IM SO READY FOR THIS!!
NOTHING CAN TAKE ME BY SURPRISE!

Checklist Before Sleep.

- Shave entire face
- Pack Overnight Bag for Hospital stay
- EAT MORE FOOD!
- Make Sure Youtube videos Are ready
- Paperwork for tomorrow in order
- Pray to baby jesus that I return intact / alive
- EAT MORE FOOD
- enjoy as much of my life before this goes down!

Waiting For Surgeon

RIGHT BEFORE SURGERY
(At the Hospital)

At the hospital now.. waiting to get this show on the road.
you see smiles but deep down I'm pooping my pants.
my excitement level is out the roof because i am so ready for this surgery, but not knowing what to expect and not knowing what its going to feel like is whats causing my nerves to stay off balance.

FYI this is the first time I've completely shaved my face since i was able to grow facial hair.... yeah...

Post-Op Day 1

Day 1.

Pain Level - 5/10
Discomfort Level - 10/10

just getting out of the surgery room, very sore

the swelling is just about to shoot up in my life
AM
Is this real life? i was abducted by aliens and probed! JUST KIDDING

As far as know the surgery went very well, unfortunately I'm super doped and info comes in and slips past my brain almost immediately.

Surgeon said my bones were as tough as cement!

PM
Back home. Super swollen and very uncomfortable.
Trouble breathing and nose completely blocked.
       (Swelling Begins!)
this is right after surgery. very swollen and in a lot of pain
No feeling in my face at all nor control over my jaw.
Can swallow water though which is good

Post-Op Day 2

Day 2 PostOp
Back In The hospital :(

Pain   9/10
discomfort   10/10

complications due to swelling and throat closing up caused me to to return to hospital
Complications.. Day
I'm fine.. just very obnoxiously swollen beyond control.
feels like my throat is starting to close up. nose is blocked so
breathing is nearly impossible.
No one can seem to figure out why the swelling isn't going
down but increasing instead.
Will be spending a few more nights in ICU.
Recovery will be a little more of a challenge than expected

Post-Op Day 3

                                     Day 3

Pain Level    -    10/10
Discomfort Level   -   10/10

Still trying to get this swelling down.

its like having an air pump plunged inside the right and left side of my face and constantly inflating with the maximum amount of air possible before splitting my face apart.

The pain is rough because the elastics that hold my teeth shut in position are now off so my freshly cut jawline are just hanging loose..
Everything about my body in fact is sore, my back is in pain, my feet feel numb, my throat feels as if i had the air tube ripped out of it as fast as possible :(

these are all normal says the doctors, supposedly during surgery as my mind is knocked unconscious, my body still feels the pain to some level. therefor imagine my body enduring this pain, clenching and aching....and crying... i guess its normal!Still holding high spirits. For now...

Post-Op Day 4

Day 4
Pain Level  -  8/10
Discomfort Level  -  10/10

we have finally reduced some of the excessive swelling around the upper part of my face and now the bruising is finally coming out which signifies reducing of the swollen glands around the face. Feeling better today can open my jaws with the elastic bands keeping them closed tight. Can eat tiny Ice chips and Popsicle pieces with some help from Courtney Pinder.
I'm feeling energetic enough to walk a few feet up and down the ICU hallways.

swelling is still overinflated in feeling, face is pretty much completely numb to the touch which is a little irritating.

The staff here are absolutely unbelievable!
don't think i would be able to be in such high spirits without them being here giving me a hand.

Post-Op Day 5

Day 5

Pain Level   -   8/10
Discomfort Level   -   9/10

Swelling still present but not accompanied by the bruise police.
Feels like I got into a fight with a UFC fighter while having my hands tied behind my back and could only fight back with my face... I'd hate to see what the other guy looks like.

Being released from the hospital today.
Just a waiting game now on the doc to clear my charts!
Courtney Pinder Bonnie Lapointe THANK YOU FOR HELPING ME THROUGH THESE FEW DAYS.

Finally eating all by myself. Was relieved of my IV fluids
And no more narcotics.
I STARTED HALUCINATING LAST NIGHT DUE TO BEING OVERLY MEDICATED ON MORPHINE.. WAS LITERALLY ONE OF THE SCARIEST MOMENTS IVE EVER GONE THROUGH IN MY LIFE.
WOKE UP COMPLETELY LOST AND DELUSIONAL, COULDNT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING, NOTHING MADE SENSE, WORDS DIDNT MAKE SENSE AND MY MIND COULDNT FOCUS ON ANYTHING.
ONE OF THE ICU NURSES WAS KIND ENOUGH TO TUCK ME IN BED AND PRAY WITH HER HANDS ON MY CHEST.. THE MOST SOOTHING THING ANYONE COULD HAVE DONE FOR ME.
Doing much better. Hopefully it's only uphill from here on out.

Post-Op Day 6

Day 6

Pain Level   -   9/10
Discomfort Level   -   9/10

5:30AM
LOTS AND LOTS OF PAIN TODAY DUE TO GETTING MY JAW WIRE TIGHTENED AND USING Tylenol3s INSTEAD OF THE PERCS.

Trying to keep a positive mindset but today is definitely a chalenge
Swelling is still there. Bruises are showing more.
Pain is compared to applying full bite pressure to your teeth and being forced to hold the bite all day and night.

3:30PM_______________________________________________

NO ONE WILL EVER RECOGNIZE ME IF IM DRESSED IN MY SUPER DOOPER MYSTERIOUS OUTFIT!
I THINK THE PERCS ARE GOING TO BE USED A LITTLE WHILE LONGER BEFORE THE TYLENOL. OFF TO VISIT MY SISTER AND NEPHEW WITH MOM AND COURTNEY!

Post-Op Day 7

DAY 7   (1 Week)
Pain Level  -  6/10
Discomfort Level  -  8/10

UHG! so what can i say about today… or SHOULD i say about today… or what should i complain about today that i haven’t complained about in the last few days or week thats passed already :)
albeit the swelling has finally decided to take a hike and bother some other poor soul after his or her jaw surgery… but its still sticking around as long as humanly possible just because.
IM PRETTY SURE I HAVE MANAGED TO BEAT JayZ in the lip department though... which i mean i can't complain too much about that right?

i think the one thing that is driving me mental is the sheer fact that all i see.. everyday… is food.
Burger King commercials.. McDonalds commercials. pizza commercials
take a trip on good old Facebook and its all damn food recipes that make me drool. MORE THAN I DROOL AS IS, WHICH IS TOO MUCH!
I SWEAR ITS LIKE HAVING YOUR OWN PERSONAL WATER FOUNTAIN OF LUKE WARM THICK WATER THAT TASTES LIKE ENSURE OR WTV GARBAGE I FORCE FED MYSELF SHORTLY BEFORE.

i can’t seem to shake this little ache of pain i have on the right side of my face, from jawline through the ear and into my temple.. its almost like a headache but simply not.. magnify it by 1000 and add a ticking time bomb to it just for extra satisfaction. ice packs seem to do the trick for a short while but my go to of course would be drugs…. drugs drugs drugs and MORE DRUGS.
i got to say though as much as I’m not fond of recreational drug use these puppies have been a life saver. I’ve managed to control my pain in smaller doses of Oxycodone throughout the day than was originally prescribed.
i will on the average day now take a half painkiller right before bed to keep me asleep pain free for a few hours, usually wake up 4 hours after with the thought that i had just been dropped on my head from the Eiffel tower, take another half and sleep for another handful of hours. after that i dabble with Tylenol 3s throughout the day to keep the pain at bay.

THIS WAITING FOR THE DAY I GET TO ENJOY A FULL SLEEP WITHOUT BEING WOKEN UP THOUGH…. OH BABY WILL I BE A HAPPY YOUNG LAD WHEN THAT HAPPENS!

Post-Op Day 9 (Part 2)

Day 9   #2
Yup shit just got REAL emotional here.... saw my smile for the first time in 23 years.....
Had to record a vlog for my channel also.. all crying and what not..

Only certain few will EVER understand how gratifying. How amazing and how emotional it is to look at yourself in the mirror one day with a perfect smile after over 20 years of not being able to...
Most overwhelming feeling I've ever been through!
And it's not done yet

Post-Op Day 14 (Halloween)

Day 14 (Halloween!)

Pain Level  -  2/10
Discomfort Level  -  5/10

once again the bound between nephew and uncle just cannot be broken
my face is scarier... but i guess its suppose to be since i just had surgery
My Nephew and I Getting Free Candy
And Picking up ALL the hot chicks
with our beautiful smiles and my puffed up face!

WELL WELL WELL ITS THAT TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN!
who needs a scary costume with you got a swollen face and you drool like you have rabies anyways? i could literally capitalize on this candy grab without even putting in much effort!
all i have to do it get the words "Trick Or Treat!" out of my wired mouth as clear as possible and leave with as much booty (Candy) as possible!
downside?.... i can't eat it until like next year.... yeah maybe ill just wait!

SO! after a great but chilly night of creepy children and spooky overpriced costumes the entire family was together again, and I've decided that i would be staying with the rents for a little while longer due to almost slipping in the shower at my place the other day... (might need some supervision).
and who can resist being around 4 great danes... like common now!

my face is still numb which before wasn't such a big deal, but now its starting to bother me because I'm getting itchy in some places and not being satisfied when i itch it and can't feel it...
I've come to realize that i can actually eat some pretty tasty things!
blended mashed potatoes but filled with an absurd amount of cheese and butter makes one hell of a meal!
oatmeal with butter and any kind of flavour is absolutely delicious!
Peanut Butter
Sugar
Brown Sugar
Banana
Molasses
etc!

Had my weekly appointment with the surgeons office today as well, Doc said I'm healing at an incredibly fast pace. referred to as as "Wolverine" which made me giggle.. in pain... thanks doc
only little issue was a slipped stitch above my front lip... which he tugged on.... and made me cry like a school girl... NOT EVEN JOKING

Post-Op Day 18 (Getting Bored)

Day 18
(Getting Bored)
Pain Level - 1/10
Discomfort Level  -  4/10
Craving  -  Steak & Cheese Sub from Subway!

No photos today sorry :(
not much has changed in appearance unfortunately although I'm still a little swollen and still completely numb in both cheeks, nose and chin. my lower lips and upper lip is somewhat swollen but back to their normal size which feels great.

i find myself getting very very easily agitated with things lately, I'm thinking its because of being bored.. I'm not too fond of going out in public just yet as I'm still noticeably swollen and get a lot of creepy stare downs lol.
and of course the fact that this liquid diet is becoming more and more aggravating especially when my appetite has returned in full force.
hopefully on monday the surgeon will be deciding to remove my wire so that i can open slightly and get some actual soft food in my system.. maybe even just a piece of bread!
in the meantime I've been making some arrangements to do some shows in then near future, I've got to get out of the house and do something! music has always been the best medicine for me and i miss DJing.

Post-Op Day 20

Day 20
Day 20..
Jeez where have the last 2 weeks gone? i can't believe its already 3 weeks into this journey!
there is relatively no pain anymore except the add shock of my jaw moving in a position its not used to anymore. my face is still completely numb though which bothers me but not overly.

I've noticed a few of my brackets have broken off some teeth due to the jaw wire I'm assuming. 2 on my molars and 1 or 2 on my canine teeth. surgeon did say its nothing to worry too much about though.
I've been eating a lot more lately which makes me feel better, although I've lost roughly 25lbs which i know is not the healthiest. Finally built up the nerve to eat blended chilli which is absolutely amazing at this point..
Imagine not eating for a month straight,,, and then having an extra large pizza and chicken wings placed in front of your face... thats how i felt eating that chilli the other night.. #Savage!

winter is definitely coming.. (Game Of Thrones Pun Intended)
its getting really cold out and frosty which is enough to send any man who enjoys his warmth into a spiralling shock of depression. even though I've had the pleasure of sleeping with 4 huge great danes in the same bed to keep me warm when they get up its like being thrown into the arctic but naked!
other that that I'm sure my rambling has begun to bore you so i will leave this here for you all to read and for some to cringe at the thought of me naked in a winter storm :)

p.s   next appointment is Friday.... this wire had better be removed on said day... or i will Purge...
#GodBlessAmerica  #EvenThoughImCanadian

Post-Op Day 22 ( NO MORE JAW WIRE )

Day 22
Pain Level  -  2/10
Discomfort Level  -  2/10

Had a picture... but it deleted itself apparently.. i know right?

NO MORE JAW WIRE AS OF TODAY!!!!!
so the wire decided to slip slightly off my teeth I'm assuming fro constantly yawning and coughing ( i think i may have a slight cold :( )
so now guess what?..... i get to speak a little better and i can eat mac&cheese without chewing but still much much better than blended!!!

PM
finally semi solid but still soft food!
i was able to eat chicken noodle soup with egg cooked into it and like 6 slices of severely buttered bread!  <--- that part was what I've been waiting for for 3 weeks now!!
i feel i may be in a lot of pain tomorrow though as i am using my jaw muscles quite a bit to eat and speak.

UPDATE ON SURGERY NOW
Nearly 0 pain whatsoever except for when i yawn or sneeze or twitch my jaw in a way that I'm not used to.
still completely numb on my nose, cheeks, chin and lower lip. which is a little bit of a struggle as when i eat i accidentally bite my lower lip which causes pain.
one thing that is bothering me is my teeth are not exactly "perfect"... in a sense where i notice my lower teeth kind of slant from high to low from the left to right which freaks me out.. wondering if that may be from the rotation part of the surgery.. fingers crossed that this can be fixed with Ortho treatment down the road.
also my midlines don't match up which I'm hoping will ALSO be fixed with Ortho treatment afterwards.

Post-Op Day 25

Day 25
Pain Level  -  1/10
Discomfort Level  -  3/10

LOOK AT THAT SMILE THOUGH!!

YOU MAY ASK YOURSELF... NATHAN OR KAMBLE FROST (DEPENDING ON HOW YOU KNOW ME)
WHAT ARE YOU DOING TO KEEP YOURSELF BUSY... TO KEEP YOURSELF FROM GETTING BORED OR DEVELOPING A SLIGHT CASE OF CRAZINESS...
WELL I HAVE ONE WORD (PICTURE) FOR YOU...
YUP!!! ALL DAY EVERYDAY!

I've been enjoying this beautiful game for the last few days now.. and let me tell you something... WORTH EVERY PENNY OF THE 130$ I SPENT ON IT!
COD Remastered... GODLY!

OK!
thats enough of the gaming blog/review.
I'm feeling like a million bucks today. i have a lot of energy, still a little swollen and a bit sore from the jaw wire being off and the muscles being worked a little more than usual but that will stop over time.
tomorrow i have my weekly appointment with Dr. Soliman to see how I'm doing. I'm a little worried that i may be overdoing some thing like opening my mouth to shovel some food in with a small spoon. talking lots to exercise my jaws. in my eyes and opinion if i can do it there shouldn't be any harm in it but this may not be the same POV as my surgeon... he may just beat me over the head with a mallet for all i know.
I'm currently writing this BLOG and then i have to write down every single question i want to ask him "as there are several!"
so that i don't forget and can have some reassurance to some things i am curious to know.

Other than that the normal stuff in regards to surgery and recovery.
  •  Face is still completely numb in the cheeks, chin lower lip and just below the eyes.
  •  Swelling is nearly gone i think, or I'm hoping because i still look very chunky
  •  Eating has be an absolute blessing these last few days as I've managed to eat pasta (sidekicks) even though i haven't chewed the noodles purely swallowed them as they were shovelled into my mouth lol.
  •  Drinking through a cup has been 100X easier as i can sort of feel my top lip which guides the glass or cup.
  •  Being able to brush my teeth on the inside.... better than winning a million dollars!

Post Op Day 26 - IM FREE (Ish)

DAY 26
Pain Level  -  1/10
Discomfort Level  -  2/10

IM FREEEE!!
well sort of, not really free yet but more free than I've felt in quite some time.
i still can't believe how fast this last month has flown by!
it feels like just yesterday i was eating my last big meal before surgery... a part of me is a little bummed out that I'm not recovery as much ( I'm weird like that, i enjoy being helpless and in pain. it doesn't happen to me often )
I had my weekly meet up with my surgeon and then a meeting with my Ortho today. Surgeon was incredibly pleased with the amount of progress that I've gone through over the last week. last time he saw me i was still very swollen and bruised. now the majority of swelling is gone and bruises have been gone for a while as well.
he proceeded to pull out a stitch in my top lip that wasn't of the dissolving nature.. (that did NOT feel the greatest)
unfortunately throughout the last month my jaw has decided to rotate ever so slightly causing my midline to become off centered (bottom jaw) but assured me with a little Ortho work it can be fixed 100% of nearly to that percentage.

THIS IS THE MIDLINE OFFSET NOT HUGE BUT NOTICEABLE

stopped by the Ortho shortly after the surgeons office and shocked all the dentists and nurses and my orthodontist as it was the first time they have seen me since before surgery. i felt like a celebrity having everyone in my little procedure room asking me questions, taking pictures and wanting to know all the grim details of the last few weeks.
My Ortho reassured me that my fears (midline lining up, bite looking a little crooked, lower teeth sort of slanting downwards on the right side) was all somewhat normal due to the rotation of my lower jaw during surgery and some braces breaking off teeth throughout the last month causing teeth to move backwards. she promised she could fix all these things no problem :)
(WEIGHT LIFTED OFF SHOULDERS)
she removed all my elastics and for the first time i thought to myself.... FREEDOM!!! IM FREE! GIVE ME A DAMN CHEESEBURGER... ACTUALLY MAKE IT 5 CHEESEBURGERS, A LARGE PEP PIZZA, CHICKEN WINGS AND AN ENTIRE RIBEYE STEAK COOKED MEDIUM RARE WITH ROASTED POTATOES........ yeah not a chance in hell.
not just because opening my mouth a quarter inch meant being in more pain than I'm sure being shot in the butt cheeks would cause you, but the fact that opening my jaw a quarter inch was literally all i can do in the first place.... yeah... pitiful i know.
BUT!
STAYING POSITIVE.
she managed to stretch my mouth and cheeks enough to replace the 4 broken brackets in my mouth, which i assume tomorrow will be painful on that account.
ALSO i had about 10 elastics removed from my mouth today and from now on i only have 3 elastics :)
TAKE THAT DONALD TRUMP!

NOW... BACK TO FOOD.. MY PLAN FOR THE REST OF THE EVENING IS TO FIGURE OUT WHAT I WILL BE EATING... BECAUSE LETS BE REAL HERE... THAT IS PROBABLY THE HARDEST THING IVE HAD TO DEAL WITH THIS ENTIRE JOURNEY.. I NEED TO EAT REAL FOOD!

Post-Op Day 30 (1 Month)

Day 30
Pain Level  -  1/10
discomfort Level  -  2/10
Craving  -  Any kind of 12'' Sub from Subway!
So we have finally reached the 1 month mark. WOW 30 full days since my face was violated by surgical equipment lol.
its unbelievable how fast it has gone by, how much has changed throughout that time in my health and in my appearance.
so to celebrate?
KRAFT DINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!
Im finding it a little difficult to do a daily blog now as the main reasoning for this is to update you on y condition, recovery and daily routine. now because I'm still swollen a tiny bit, and i find it a bit difficult to communicate still even without the jaw wire on or many elastics, i am not doing a whole lot with my life except for playing XboxOne and relaxing until i go back to work.
sleeping has been a big part of my life as well :)
so i try and update every chance i get, given the odd day i may forget as well.
so here is my update on my recovery :P

  • Chin, lower lip, cheeks and nose are still completely numb
  • I can open my mouth about 40% wide before it gets painful
  • every so often my jaw twitches to the left causing 2 seconds of rough pain :(
  • eating KD is most likely the most amazing thing someone could ever do after jaw surgery.. and i will never take eating for granted again.... EVER
  • I'm still somewhat swollen, or atlas i hope so. in my cheeks and lips as far as i can see.
  • I find my ability or (want) to be around a group of people increasingly more. even though i do sometimes feel all eyes are on me which as a DJ and YouTuber i don't mind normally but in my mind everyones mindset is (eww why is he so swollen!!)

Post-Op Day 32

Day 32
Pain Level  -  1/10
Discomfort Level  -  2/10
Craving  -  Sushi... and lots of it!

those of you who aren't very familiar with me on a personal level should know that christmas.. is my favourite holiday of the year.
so much that if i could, i would set up my christmas tree in January for the following December lol.
unfortunately i am surrounded by others that DO NOT share the same obsession :p therefor my christmas decorations went up today instead of January!

Ive found a new found love in my life in the form of food, and even though its not the healthiest thing available it is mighty delicious regardless... so i would like to personally thank MrNoodles for all his hard work in making delicious tasting Ramen noodle meals lol.. and Kimchi which is actually slightly better but who cares!

Im starting to get pretty good at getting these damn elastics in my mouth now, they are so far back on my last molars that its tough to use the little fishing hook they gave me while I'm still somewhat swollen, though i do notice a significant difference already in my midline now which makes me very happy.
Im starting to feel a lot more comfortable being around other people as I've said in another post before this, but today i made my first youtube video (more of an intro) but still exciting to know that i am comfortable being on video again.

anyways here are my daily recovery changes.

  • Face is starting to regain feeling, pins and needles in my lips, chin and cheeks signifying feeling returning slowly.
  • jaw muslces unto my ear every so often twitches and aches, as I'm sure this is normal it does feel pretty painful when it happens
  • appetite is returning a little faster than id hoped as i still cannot chew the greatest nor am i able to as I've managed to bite a big gash into the sides of my lower lip due to it being numb and i couldn't feel it :(

Post-Op Day 35

Day 35

Pain level  -  0/10
Discomfort Level  -  2/10
Craving  -  Cheeseburger with Onion Rings
Elastic Position

Not much going on these last few days, slowly slipping into some kind of psycho boredom lol
CallOfDuty just isn't cutting it anymore as much as i love it.
I've been going out much more to be a little more social which feels great.
The only downside at this point is its snowing.... yeah... snow....cold...freezing weather... not okay with this right now as it hurts my face when the wind is strong enough.

Recovering updates

  • Face is still pretty numb on my chin, lower lip, and cheeks. although the (Pins and needles) are starting to happen on my chin et which is telling me the feeling is coming back.  its almost as if my face is separated in half, meaning feeling is coming back more on one side of my face. especially my pallet, i can feel my entire pallet now on the right side but as soon as you touch the middle it becomes numb.
  • doing daily exercises with my jaw seems to be helping quite a bit as I've noticed the movement has become a lot more easy over the last few days. still pretty sore and feels as if i have some sort of lock jaw. but it improves everyday.
  • I am officially a PRO at these elastics now! getting them in doesn't even require a mirror anymore lol.
  • Ramen Noodles..... yeaaaa we had a good go.. but I'm gonna have to break up with you.. "Suh Dude"
  • No more drooling as of last week, which makes me feel a little more normal :)
  • aches and pains that were happening sporadically in my lower jaw and jaw muscles towards my ears do not seem to be happening anymore.
  • teeth are still completely numb which causes some tough times when attempting to chew soft food like bread.
